If you're visiting Bryan there are some places that you just can't miss!
Historical Downtown
Bryan is known for its colorful history that centers around the Downtown Business District. Come walk around Downtown Bryan and visit the many restaurants, hotels, and businesses that populate the revitalized area of Bryan.
The Carnegie Center of Brazos Valley History
The Carnegie Center of Brazos Valley History was originally The Carnegie Library, Bryan's first public library. The center was built using the generous donation from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The center was renamed after the construction of the Bryan Public Library, and is now a collection of the many artifacts and stories that make the Brazos Valley what it is today. This is a wonderful place that every Bryan visitor should see to experience Bryan's past and see how the city has evolved into the trade center it has become.
The Courthouse
The Bryan Courthouse was originally constructed in 1871 by Harvey Mitchell, but by 1892 the building's foundation had cracked badly and the building needed to be constructed. So, that same year Bryan began reconstructing the beautiful White-Sandstone building that stands today and graces Bryan's Historical Downtown district.
Lake Bryan
Lake Bryan sits just outside the city of Bryan and is a great place to do some fishing, boating, and relaxing on a beautiful Brazos Valley afternoon. Don't miss out on the fun and beauty that surrounds this Brazos Valley gem. |
